Cycling to Clevedon Marine Lake
For those who prefer to arrive under their own pedal power, Clevedon is accessible by several scenic cycling routes, including the well-loved Strawberry Line.
The Strawberry Line Route
The Strawberry Line is a largely traffic-free cycle path running between Yatton and Cheddar. If you’re coming from the south, you can cycle the Strawberry Line to Yatton, then follow quiet roads and signposted cycle routes into Clevedon.
From Yatton:
- Leave the Strawberry Line at Yatton Station.
- Follow NCN Route 26 towards Clevedon, using quiet country lanes through Kenn.
- Enter Clevedon via Moor Lane, then follow signs to the seafront.
- The Marine Lake is located at the northern end of the promenade.
From Bristol
- Join NCN Route 410 (Festival Way) towards Nailsea.
- From Nailsea, follow quiet roads to Clevedon via Tickenham.
Safety Tips
- Always wear visible clothing and use lights if cycling in low light.
- Take extra care when cycling through town centres and near the seafront.
- Cycle racks are available near the lake for secure bike parking.
